DAY 1 Saturday: San Sebastián-Bilbao

San Sebastián is an exciting city of unusual charm, whose narrow streets, promenades and beaches make it one of the most cosmopolitan and attractive cities in Spain.

Guests' welcome reception, followed by San Sebastián city tour and lunch.

Coach to Bilbao where the train will be waiting.

Welcome on board the train, which then leaves for Balmaseda for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 Sunday Bilbao - Santander

The train travels to Bilbao. The city tour includes a visit to the Guggenheim Museum or modern art.

Lunch onboard the train, en route to Santander, in Cantabria, a quiet city which combines beauty and charm. The Casino building on El Sardinero is worth seeing.

Dinner and overnight in Santander.

DAY 3 Monday: Santander - Cabezón de La Sal

Arriving at Unquera by train, the private coach drives through the La Hermida Pass to Potes and the Santo Toribio de Liebana sanctuary.

Lunch in Potes

In the afternoon, we reach Cabezon de la Sal by train, from where there is an excursion to Comillas.

Dinner and overnight in Cabezon de la Sal.

DAY 4 Tuesday: Cabezón de la Sal - Arriondas

From Cabezón de la Sal, we travel to Santillana del Mar to visit the Altamira caves and the medieval town.

Lunch in Santillana del Mar.

In the afternoon, the train travels to the Asturias village of Llanes for a visit and then onto Arriondas.

Dinner and overnight in Arriondas.

DAY 5 Wednesday: Arriondas - Oviedo

We are now in the heart of Asturias.

From Arriondas we travel by coach to the National Park of Picos de Europa with the Covadonga Lakes, the Sanctuary of Covadonga and finally Cangas de Onis.

Lunch onboard the train.

During lunch, the train travels to Oviedo, the capital city of the Principality of Asturias. Visit, dinner and overnight in Oviedo.

DAY 6 Thursday: Oviedo - Luarca

From Oviedo, the train travels to Gijón, a seaside city, for a visit and lunch.

In the afternoon, we travel to Luarca, known as "The White Town of the Green Coast". Dinner and overnight in Luarca.

DAY 7 Friday: Luarca - Viveiro

Ribadeo is the first town we visit in Galicia, on the border with Asturias, where the river Eo flows into the sea.

Visit to Las Catedrales beach. The scenery of Las Rías Altas is overwhelming.

Lunch in Ribadeo.

In the afternoon, the train arrives at Viveiro, for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8 Saturday: Viveiro - Santiago de Composotela

The train travels to Ferrol, from where the private coach travels to Santiago de Compostela, the ultimate pilgrims' destination, with its iconic sights: the Praza do Obradoiro, the Platerias (with its silversmiths) and the Cathedral.

End of the journey.
